Our client is one of the world’s leading Global Investment Banks.  They are looking for a VP/ ED to join their Wealth Management Audit Team in the UK, based in London.  As part of a small and talented team of five, you will have responsibility for delivering the audit services, leading risk assessments, developing audit plans and managing their execution and completion.  The role will involve delivering special project services and managing your own client portfolio and relationships across the business groups, as well as managing junior auditors.  The role also offers the opportunity to professionally interact with senior management, whilst keeping abreast of the latest developments in the bank’s environment and business activities of the Group.

You will be a high performing, results orientated individual with a strong audit background, and a track record in Wealth Management.

Requirements:

  • ACA or ACCA with a minimum of 3 years’ experience at VP level in either Wealth Management or Private Banking Audit
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact easily with all levels of personnel, both within internal audit, and the business as a whole.

 

Investment Director

Investment Director – Head of Investments – Edinburgh

Our client is a leading UK based private client investment and financial planning firm. As a major industry award winner, they offer an exciting and dynamic working environment, backed up by a solid business dating back over a hundred years with an impressive client base. After a recent period of significant change, they are looking to increase their presence in Scotland, and enlarge the size of the existing Private Client Investment Team. They are consequently seeking an Investment Director to join this expanding team in their Edinburgh Office.

You will originate from an investment background, with experience of dealing directly with High Net Worth individuals, assessing their attitude to risk, whilst working closely with them to address their investment needs. Knowledge and experience of the successful construction and management of tailored investment portfolios from both a discretionary and advisory stance is key, as is direct equity investment experience.

As Head of Investments, you will have the necessary excellent interpersonal and people management skills to enable you to successfully manage the existing team of talented investment managers. The emphasis of this role is on the individual having the key skills, gravitas and ambition to develop and drive the business forward. Ideally, you will bring a significant client base with you but in the absence of this, you will be expected to build an agreed value of assets under management within a five year period.

Remuneration for this post Investment Director role will compare well with market competitors, and will be based on the individual candidate. There is potential for an equity share scheme being awarded in the case of exceptional individuals.

Our client, a leading investment bank, is seeking a recent graduate to join their team as a trainee wealth planner.  The successful candidate will support the regional director in managing discretionary portfolios on behalf of private clients, trusts and charities.  With a keen eye for detail, excellent interpersonal skills and a good understanding of the financial markets, the successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to build a strong foundation for a long career in private wealth management in this role.

Our client, a leading investment bank, is seeking a recent graduate to join their team as a trainee Investment Analyst.  The successful candidate will support the Wealth Management team in managing portfolios of high net worth clients including investment trusts, charities and private clients.  With a keen eye for detail and a good understanding of research and analysis, the successful candidate will assist the team by conducting analysis on financial markets, products and services and preparing reports and presentations for clients.  This role would suit someone who is keen to build a successful career in investment analysis.

Audit Team Leader

This role would suit someone with experience and a thorough understanding of private wealth, preferably gained in either a tier 1 or boutique private wealth bank.  Based in Singapore, the successful candidate will have a proven track record in internal audit, ideally with some experience of private wealth audit.  With excellent communication skills and experience leading and developing teams, the successful candidate will have a good understanding of products, processes and current regulatory practice.

This post would suit someone with a background covering a broad range of audit experience within wealth management. As part of the routine duties the role will involve evaluating business divisions to ensure compliance and financial targets are met and strategic and operational objectives.

The role is based within an independent team reporting directly to the Risk Committee and Chairman of the Board. With an exemplary track record in reporting, planning and performing audits, you will leverage these skills across the Wealth Management businesses covering both the UK and Jersey.

Responsibilities

– Assessing and analysing key risks, including: compliance, know-your-client, legal, money-laundering, operational and suitability. Evaluating the effectiveness of the controls addressing the key risks.

– Providing solutions to issues identified that are innovative and practical. Preparing clear reports on findings for senior management at local, functional, group and global levels.

– Monitoring developments within risk profiles

– Providing input for planning sessions.

Skills

– A background in audit with thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and expectations.

– Sound knowledge of key risks in wealth management; their controls and how best to manage them.

– A fluent English speaker, you will have excellent communication skills and experience in presenting to senior management, providing recommendations and opinions. You will work well in a team in addition to having experience leading audits for specific tasks.
