A leading global investment firm seeks a Vice President, Credit Risk to join their specialist Risk Audit team.  You will have either worked as part of a credit risk management team or as an Auditor covering Credit Risk in an Investment Bank.  As part of a small team, the successful candidate will deputise for the Head of the Credit Risk Audit and assist them in leading and developing the team. As the principle lead for credit risk, you will work closely with all business audit teams, particularly the Quantitative audit team on assurance frameworks for traded products.  The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills fostering a shared knowledge culture across the team in addition to maintaining excellent working relationships with stakeholders and senior management.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Experience in financial management within a traded product credit risk, credit analyst  or credit reviewer role.

  • Thorough understanding of credit risk controls

  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrable experience of stakeholder management

  • Broad knowledge and understanding of global regulatory developments and frameworks.

  • Expert understanding of Basel II requirements, thorough knowledge of Basel III proposals.

Desirable:

  • Two years’ experience as a credit risk auditor.      

This is a senior role within the Internal Audit team covering Capital Regulatory Reporting within Global Markets. The successful candidate will take the lead in audits which are centred around Capital Regulatory Reporting covering areas including ICAAP, CRD4 and Standard Rules Capital Calculations.  Additionally, you will support the Audit function conducting non regulatory orientated audits, eg front to back reviews, and provide specialist input into a range of other audits including VaR waivers and other areas as necessary. The role also involves acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Regulatory Reporting within the Internal Audit Team. 

Requirements

Minimum 4 years PQE either auditing Regulatory Reporting functions within a major banking group, working as a Consultant covering clients requiring Regulatory guidance or experience of working within a Regulatory Reporting group at a major institution.

Knowledge of current BASIL regulations
Capital Requirements Directive (CRD4) knowledge
Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP)

Whilst NOT essential it would be useful to have experience of conducting Internal Audits with the ability to lead a small team.

 

Our client, a leading global investment bank seeks Liquidity Risk VP to join its dedicated risk audit team.  With a background in audit, preferably gained in treasury, the ideal candidate will be an expert in liquidity risk, controls and treasury.  Reporting to the Global Head of risk Audit, the successful candidate will be part of a specialist team tasked with the global liquidity risk audit.

Key responsibilities:

  • A key point of contact for liquidity risk for technical expertise and continuous monitoring
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory developments affecting liquidity risk
  • Contributing to controls and frameworks supporting risk management,
  • Identifying training requirements across the internal audit function for Liquidity risk.
  • Responsibility for entity risk assessment process for liquidity risk
  • Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with internal audit, stakeholders, senior management and regulators

  • Further qualifications on treasury e.g. Corporate Treasurer (desirable)

Experience:

  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements of liquidity risk management, ILAA and Basel III developments, an overview of global regulatory requirements and developments would be an advantage.
  • Proven experience, ideally within a global investment back within treasury, of risk audit and liquidity risk audit
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills the successful candidate will have the ability to influence and advise team members, stakeholders, senior management and regulators.
