Senior Private Banker - Scotland

Our client is one of the UK's largest Wealth Managers and provides a wide range of products and investment banking services to High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth Individuals with investable assets of £500K upwards.

This Group is experiencing rapid growth and, as part of an ongoing global investment programme, are looking to expand their private wealth team in Scotland by appointing talented senior and experienced private bankers with the expertise to take care of the growing number of sophisticated local and international clients in Scotland, including the new wave of entrepreneurs.

The business aims to recruit high achievers with strong client relationships in this area, who ideally can bring an existing portfolio of clients whilst building sustainable new client relationships and developing their own networks and referrals in order to move markets and win business.

    Key responsibilities include:
  • Client Servicing - conduct reviews, keep abreast of updates, inform clients of new products and services,
  • Relationship Management - understand your clients' life priorities, goals and attitude to risk, entertain, offer knowledge and guidance
  • Business Development - build and develop internal & peer networks, as well as referrals, acquire new clients and generate fees.
    Required experience:
  • Significant previous Wealth Management experience with a strong track record of delivering innovative and complex wealth solutions to HNWI's and longevity in other reputed Private Banking Groups
  • Strong relationship management, communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) are essential to ensure credibility with clients
  • The desire, confidence and persuasiveness to succeed and progress your career in the Private Banking arena.

Private Banking Audit

The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years experience of Regulated Private Banking activity in the UK or Europe.

Large highly profitable Private Bank seeks an experienced Internal Auditor to cover Swiss Banking (Private Wealth Management and some Asset Management) activities. The successful candidate will assist in the completion of the annual audit plan, communicate those areas requiring control enhancements and provide recommendations for improvements to senior management and the Board Audit Committee. You will have your own client portfolio and some team leadership responsibilities. French or German Languages are desirable as much of the work will be for the Swiss Private Banking business.

£50-55,000 per annum, bens, bonus, London, permanent

This major global banking group is seeking an experienced professional to join its Internal Audit Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing audit coverage of the Private Wealth Management division.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting on audit projects.
  • Obtain and review background documentation, reference materials, business texts and other relevant literature to help develop an appropriate planning approach.
  • Develop and present recommendations and related audit report deliverables.
  • Tracking actions through to conclusion.
  • Develop audit findings. Document business concerns, risks, root causes, and recommendations in writing for inclusion in the Audit Report.

Required Experience:

  • Ideally the successful candidate will be a qualified accountant or equivalent.
  • Relevant business experience with knowledge of investment banking products and services, but with a particular focus on Private Wealth Management and Asset Management.
  • Strong knowledge of audit/risk techniques and principles.
  • A good technical understanding of the business processes function and corresponding operational and financial controls designed to effectively manage the organisation's business units and operations.

Up to £90,000 per annum, London, Permanent

Our client is one of the premiere Global Investment Banks, operating in over 50 countries and from all major international centres. They are currently looking for a Director to join their UK Wealth Management Audit Team. This Internal Audit team is an independent and objective assurance function, who assess.

  • the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes,
  • compliance with statutory, legal and regulatory requirements,
  • the reliability of information across the group.

Joining a talented team of 5, you will take responsibility for delivering audit services, leading risk assessments, developing audit plans and managing their execution and completion. The role will involve delivering special project services and managing your own client portfolio and relationships across the business groups. The role also offers the opportunity to professionally interact with senior management, whilst keeping abreast of the latest developments in the bank's environment and business activities of the Business Group.
